Since 2020, Dissenters has trained over 4,000 young people in the United States and internationally in our movement DNA and the basics of anti-militarist organizing.
The Tidalwave Convergence brought together 60 organizers from 26 campuses from across Turtle Island to Chicago. The weekend was a transformative experience for all who took part, full of relationship-building, skill-sharing, and campaign training needed to build a world without war and militarism.
We believe strong training programs are essential to movement building and developing the leadership of young people to transform ourselves and our conditions.
We’ve supported thousands of young people in taking direct action, building strong teams, and launching bold campaigns – from campaign strategy retreats, to organizing 101 bootcamps, to direct action workshops for young people on campus and beyond.
We host our trainings in-person, virtually, regionally, and on campus across the United States. Our trainings are designed to create pathways for members to get involved and grow as organizers, direct action practictors, strategists, and trainers within Dissenters.
